Approx 17hh 7yo gelding Fontainebleu x Rubin R.
Floyd is a tall, attractive, upstanding model with great presence. He is a personable character who loves attention and always has time for a chat and a cuddle!
Working well on the flat with 3 active, expressive paces. He has good rhythm and cadence and shows good work into the bridle. Basics nicely established and ready to go out and do a test. Only has very limited jumping experience but when he has been put to a fence he shows serious potential and scope. Really doesn't want to touch a pole. A blank canvas with the basics established ready for someone to produce further for dressage or showjumping.
Really enjoys hacking, goes alone and in company. Good in traffic. Schools happily in open fields. A bold character who does sometimes just need his hand holding and a bit of reassurance, Good to do on the ground but he is a big, bold horse and will not suit someone who is easily intimidated by his size.
Lived in all winter, currently living out in a herd.
For the right person Floyd is a real find but he needs a confident and skilled rider. Not a novice ride.
Here are the important points about Floyd that need to be considered.

15.2hh 11yo Irish gelding. No breeding recorded. Fun, forward, super competitive and experienced competition horse who loves to jump!
Rio is a sporty, compact, powerful model. He has been in the same home 4 years where he has been a consistent and competitive competition horse up to 100cm ODE and 105cm showjumping with plenty of scope to progress. He is a double clear machine who has been placed top 10 at every ODE he has run, including over BE courses like Dauntsey, West Wilts, Calmsden and Swalcliffe. Rio has not been affiliated due to owners preference so is the ideal horse to start with BE or BS and build up. He would be a very serious contender for BE Grassroots qualification.
Working well on the flat and produces a good test, Forward, responsive, obedient ride who will go best on the flat for a quiet and sympathetic rider. Schools quietly and is very willing with a great attitude to his work.
Jumping really is where Rio's strengths lie. He is an absolute machine both cross country and showjumping. He is quick over the ground and competitive against the clock. Super careful, really doesn't want to touch a pole and is unphased by fillers, trays and combinations. Rio can be a hot, forward, buzzy horse to jump so would not be suitable for a novice or a rider who likes to strangle them in. Would definitely also team chase. He would be ideal for a rider who is forward thinking and wants to be as competitive as he is and not just show up. Would suit a bold teenager or lightweight amateur.
Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities. He is a bright, forward ride who can be spooky about silly things to keep his brain occupied but never nasty, silly or when focusing on the job. Good to hack on his own and in company, better when in front. Good in traffic.
Rio is a really sweet boy. Lives in or out and is a pleasure to deal with and have on the yard. He is good and easy to do in all ways just needs sedalin for clipping. No quirks
This superstar is available at a fraction of his value due to having had PSD surgery on both hinds (neurectomy and fasciotomy) in February this year. This is thought to have been successful and Rio is in full work out jumping now. Open to full vet.
Very sad sale on behalf of a client. Serious enquiries to please call only, texts and e-mails may not be answered. Video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page just search 'Rio.'
172cm 5yo Irish Draught x gelding by Huntingfield Sunny C. A quality hunter stamp who will turn his hoof to anything.
Quality, upstanding model. Compact and sporty for his type. Light in his step and in the hand, does not ride big or heavy and is very manoeuvrable. Did a few days hunting his 4yo season and would be ready to go out on exercise now. With his size he would make a super gentleman's hunter but is certainly rideable enough for a lady and has most recently been produced by small female riders under 5ft2.
Rides quietly on the flat, holds himself well without much input and is obedient to the aids. Forward without being strong or sharp. Is not a big flashy mover who will blow anyone away in the dressage arena but would certainly do an obedient enough test for riding club or eventing with further production and the right rider.
Very good to a fence. Bold, polite and rideable, maintains his rhythm and takes you in without being strong. Happily jumping round a course at training shows and out schooling including fillers and trays. Not far off being ready for a British Novice. Good in the warm up. Bold cross country schooling including ditches, bank, water. Very willing and trainable. Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities. Ready for a BE80. Would do all riding club activities alongside a good season's hunting.
Good to hack, goes alone and in company and has been no bother on the roads or in open spaces.
Goggles is good to do on the ground and has a very lovable, genuine nature. Kind and sweet, a real gentle giant who wouldn't intentionally hurt a fly. He can be a sensitive soul and a bit of a worry wart who sometimes needs reassurance but he tries desperately hard to be brave and get things right. He will sometimes whinny when feeling a bit insecure so he needs a rider who isn't going to fall apart at the realisation that the horse they're on is actually a living breathing thinking animal. Never nasty or naughty just needs a confident rider who isn't going to be intimidated by a big horse breathing out.
Serious enquiries to please call only. Texts and messages may not be answered. All video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page by searching the term 'Goggles.'
Knockmeal Jump For Joy - 15.3hh 6yo bay registered ISH mare. Ideal competitive amateurs horse for BS and BE.
Beautiful girl inside and out. An athletic, sporty model with good limbs and a great outlook. Cara has the sweetest nature, a kind, gentle, cuddly horse who thrives on a close relationship to her rider. She is a sensitive mare who really tunes in and tries very hard to respond to every request. For this reason she would best suit a quiet, competent, confident rider with good feel. She would not be suitable for a novice because she will pick up on subtle cues.
Cara rides well on the flat with a lovely soft mouth. She can have the odd fussy moment in the contact but the better you ride her the better she goes. Cara goes best on the flat for a rider with good feel and good hands. Not at all naughty or silly, Forward and responsive to the aids with basic laterals and flying changes established. She has a super attitude to her work and is very willing and trainable. A real pleasure to work with and will produce a lovely and correct test with the right rider. Did her first dressage test this year with lots of positive feedback from the judge.
Cara really excels over a fence. She is bold and brave, super careful and with plenty of scope to produce on. Forward to a fence and takes you in without being strong. Very rideable and adjustable but can help you out when needed. Goes best when allowed to keep travelling to a fence rather than being strangled in. Has also cross country schooled proving to be equally bold with plenty of stride to cover the ground. Has jumped training shows and hunter trials in Ireland and has plenty of scope and ability to go up the levels either BS or BE. Fit and ready to get on and go now.
Good to hack on her own and in company. Good on the roads and in open spaces. She is a bright, sporty horse who is alert to the world around her and will look at the odd scary thing. Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities, doesn't have a history of bucking/rearing/bolting etc. A real sweetheart to do on the ground, good in every way, loads and travels like a pro. Suitable for a competitive teen.
Very sad sale of a much loved horse on behalf of a client. Must be seen. Some tack and rugs available separately. Serious enquiries to please call only. Approx 16.2hh 9yo IDSH x TB gelding. A confidence-giving hunter who will try his hand at most things. Will be someone's horse of a lifetime.
Bertie is a beautiful model, nicely marked and well put together with a good mix of blood and substance. Wonderful kind, genuine, willing horse who always tries his heart out for you.
Bertie rides well on the flat with balanced paces and a good mouth. He schools very well for a hunter and will do a nice test with the right rider but he is not a dressage horse and doesn't school like one. He is forward and responsive to the aids and is not a big or flashy mover. Bertie has a great attitude to his work and is a real pleasure to work with. Very open to learning new things. He is not a push-button horse and does require some skill to get the best out of him. He will best suit a kind rider with an independent seat and nice hands. If you pull on him he will just pull back. Currently in a snaffle for all activities.
Very bold to a fence and loves his jumping. Careful and with good scope and would certainly BE or BS. Takes you into a fence confidently whilst remaining rideable and makes you smile. Hunted well the last 2 seasons with the Heythop and North Cotswold. Has competed in unaffiliated showing, eventing to 90 and showjumping to 1m. Would be useful in any sphere and is the ideal competitive allrounder who is ready to have a go at whatever his rider desires and do it well. Ideal first hunter or first competition horse. Would be suitable for confident teen or amateur and is the ideal horse for someone who has done their time on the silly youngsters/hot heads and now just wants some dependable fun without sacrificing on the quality and engine. Has a bit about him but never silly with it.
Bertie is brilliant to hack and will go alone and in company. Not phased by traffic and makes a great nanny! Good in open spaces and will school politely in the field. Not at all hot, silly or strong. Gives you confidence and a feeling of security.
Full history known from a foal. Current owner has had him 4 years and bought direct from the breeder. Very easy keeper, will live in or out and is a pleasure to have on the yard. Very user-friendly in all ways and will stand on the lorry all day. No quirks or vices. A sort very hard to find and highly desired!
