15hh 5yo chestnut Irish gelding.
Quality compact model with good bone. A serious mover with an active trot and a super uphill, balanced canter. A comfortable and genuine ride, not sharp, nappy or strong under saddle. Trainable and willing, currently an unspoilt blank canvas with the basics ready for some education.
Good off the leg, just starting to take the contact now but our focus has been on getting him forward, confident and straight so he hasn't been hammered round the outside track with his head dragged in and we would appreciate it if people didn't spend 20 minutes on their viewing doing this.
He is popping a fence really sweetly, maintaining a good rhythm in and out. His real strength at the moment is hacking. He is brilliant to hack, marches out and is un-phased by all traffic. Will go first or last, good in open spaces. He is a quality, bright little horse not a brain dead kickalong so isn't going to be a horse for a complete novice or wet weekend.
Straightforward and rewarding young horse for a capable rider. Mannerly on the ground and wants to please but he is still a bit green and wary, especially of people he doesn't know yet. Please keep this in mind when viewing - if you are the kind of person who comes to view by flinging the door open, marching right up to a strange horse and grabbing at his legs before even a 'hi, how are you?' you might find him a bit skittish. If you take your time, introduce yourself to him properly and are willing to put a bit of time in to building a bit of trust it will go a long way. He likes people and attention but he does want someone he can trust and will really thrive from a close partnership. No vices.
