Approx 15.2hh rising 4yo Irish partbred cob gelding. Promising and genuine young horse with a heart of gold.
Tamarind is a gorgeous, eye-catching boy with plenty of quality! He is a strong stamp without being heavy, nice and compact with good barrel that takes up the leg well. Good limbs and feet. A friendly, affectionate and playful character with a kind, gentle nature to him. Easy to do on the ground and a real pleasure to have on the yard.
Tamarind is working very sweetly in the school on the flat and is a lovely mover with 3 correct, active, balanced paces. He is straight and well balanced for his age and forward and obedient off the leg. He is light in front with a lovely mouth that we really want to keep so please nice hands only! Out competing at Prelim level now with potential to affiliate in time. Tamarind is young but I wouldn't necessarily describe him as green in line with his age when ridden nicely, however he will be as green as you ride him.
Confidently jumping small courses of fences away from home, won a combined training with a clear round as his very first outing. Jumps fillers, hasn't been pushed or overfaced or messed around with and has been kept small to build his confidence. Maintains a lovely forward and regular rhythm with a rideable canter.
Hacks out confidently on his own and in company, seen traffic. Only ever ridden in a snaffle and very simply tack. Great attitude to his work with a willing and trainable nature. A quality, unspoilt, confident little horse with the basics established ready to go on into any sphere. No vices or medical history.
Although generally sane and sensible, Tamarind is a young horse right at the beginning of his career and so requires a confident, capable and balanced rider to bring him on. It is unreasonable to expect a rising 4yo, however sane, to give YOU confidence or to bring YOU on. Please keep this in mind and your expectations realistic before calling.
