15.1hh 5yo partbred cob gelding. Super genuine fun, forward competitive allrounder with potential for BE, BS and BD.
Brian is a lovely sweet boy with a good bit of bone and barrel in a sporty frame so not too heavy or wide. Not a kickalong cob type at all, he has plenty about him! Easy to do on the ground and have around the yard, an amenable chap who is used to coming in and out away from his herd and doing things on his own.
Super mover with 3 expressive, uphill paces. Brian is working sweetly in the school including showing some lovely work into the contact. Working nicely at Prelim level and has been getting very promising comments at his first local shows. For a 5yo he is only as green as you ride him. He is a forward, responsive ride with plenty of engine, off the aids and will carry you forward. Very willing and trainable with a great attitude to his work, he has already come on very quickly for us in only a short space of time. Goes best for a confident rider who can ride forward from the leg in to a soft hand. Moves well enough and is trainable enough for BD with the right rider.
Showing great ability and scope over a fence and has started attending local shows. Schooling well around courses of fences away from home, improves every time out and has jump to spare. Brian is bold and quick thinking and will take you in without being strong. Potential for BS and NSEA with the right rider.
Has been cross country schooling, bold with water, ditches, banks. On a roll to build him up over winter to hit the ground running in spring. Basics established, just needs mileage. Would be a real BE Grassroots or Cotswold Cup prospect and an asset to any PC or RC team with a bit more mileage.
Previously privately owned where he was a happy hacker who also did fun rides and low level riding club activities. Although he hasn't done it yet, we think Brian would enjoy having a go at hunting.
Brian is good to hack, he goes alone and in company and is good on the roads and in open spaces. Currently in a snaffle for all activities. Brian is good to do on the ground and easy to have around with no quirks or vices. He is a kind, genuine, affectionate soul who really is looking for his next best friend!
Brian is not a brain dead bicycle, he is a sporty little cob with enough quality and ability to be whatever you want him to be. He would best suit a confident, competitive rider looking for a genuine young horse with the basics established to get cracking with.
