16.1hh 4yo bay Thoroughbred gelding Requinto x Acclamation. The sweetest boy who tries so hard to please. Basics nicely established with good potential for dressage or eventing.
Clash is a lovely, athletic model, well put together with good clean limbs. He has gone a bit bum high recently so we think he will still come up a bit. He retired from racing sound and is ROR eligible. Clean enough to show. Small framed so requires a lightweight rider.
Clash is working very sweetly on the flat with 3 active, rhythmical paces. In particular he has a lovely, uphill and well balanced canter. Schooling very well into the contact with a soft mouth. He is supple and takes correction, bends well round the leg and is easy to move around the school. Still weak and wobbly and needing correcting (only 4!) but very willing and trainable. Recently competed his first ever dressage test and achieved 68.8% at Prelim with so much still to improve on. He behaved impeccably at the show and wasn't at all phased by the warm up arena or activity.
Clash shows good potential over a fence and would certainly event with the right production. He is bold and has schooled over showjump courses away from home and been cross country schooling. He has schooled over a wide variety of fillers and trays and is ready to go to a little jumping show or clear round event. He picked up the cross country really well and jumped a variety of fences as well as water, ditch and bank. He has a great attitude to the job and when he strengthens up he really will be flying with the right production. He has been done nicely and sympathetically to keep his confidence high, he has not been overfaced at all.
Done fun rides where he was very happy going as part of a group. Didn't hot up or get strong or silly. He is a forward, responsive ride and can have a jog when he's excited and his blood is up. Has not bucked, reared or bolted, has always behaved impeccably and has done everything with us in a snaffle.
Good to hack, goes in front or behind, alone or in company and is good in traffic and open spaces. As above, can have a jog. Not spooky or silly. Has shown no nappiness or clinginess. Currently lives out in a herd and is regularly brought in away from his friends to work.
Clash prefers to be out than in but he does stable and comes in most days. Would stable fine as part of a yard routine. He can be anxious about being tied up and left on the yard and he may walk his stable if he is upset but otherwise has shown no vices or quirks. Good to do on the ground in all ways, a real kind, genuine soul.
