16.3hh 5yo chestnut gelding by Irish Draught stallion Devil's Punchbowl. Ideal hunter/allrounder with a super temperament.
Snuggles is a lovely model with a sweet outlook. He is a sporty, light Draught type with good bone without being heavy or wide. He has the sweetest temperament and is very easy to do. Comes in from the field away from his herd and is generally very self-sufficient. Very user friendly and mannerly, would happily be a pet!
Working well on the flat with 3 good paces including a big uphill canter. Obedient to the aids and works into a contact easily with a lovely mouth. More kick than pull, not at all sharp, silly or strong. Mannerly with a very willing temperament just a bit weak and wobbly still which will only improve with time and riding. A straightforward, easy ride as long as you can keep this in mind. Will do a smart test in time and is ready to go out and give it a try now.
Lightly hunted last season in Ireland as a 4yo and was kept on to hunt this season but not able to get out due to Covid. Jumping coloured poles showing good scope and technique, especially behind. Comes in and out of his fences quietly in a nice rhythm, doesn't rush or pull. Plenty of potential for sport just needs nurturing along to keep his confidence. Has been out jump schooling and cross country schooling including hedges. Has also done a fun ride where he was incredibly mannerly, willing and genuine. Always in a snaffle.
Snuggles is absolutely brilliant to hack. Goes on his own or in company, good on the roads and in open spaces. Will school in the field quietly and has recently come from a home without an arena. Good with farm machinery and to do on the ground in all ways. Really lovable, straightforward chap who would be suitable for a novice or rider who lacks confidence.
Snuggles is very sadly for sale on behalf of his owner as he has not settled on their small, private set-up of only 2 other horses and he has become clingy. He is absolutely fine on a bigger yard and is brilliant here so would best suit a set up where he would be kept at livery rather than at home.
