2009 bay gelding Tiger Hill x In The Wings. Fun, forward gentleman looking for an equally bold rider for good times and adventure! Eligible ROR.

Tigger is a much loved and well-used riding club allrounder who has had the same owner 9 years since coming out of racing as a 3yo. He has done all riding club activities including team showjumping up to 90cm, lots of cross country schooling, fun rides, pairs hunter trials, hunting and hacking. Tigger is an active soul with a busy brain who likes to be doing. He isn't a fan of standing around doing nothing, although he is always polite and mannerly, so isn't going to suit the type of rider who gets frustrated or intimidated by a horse who doesn't just switch off when the game is paused.

Tigger is a lovely, traditional stamp of Irish Thoroughbred with substance and quality. Takes up the leg nicely with a good front and width - doesn't feel like you're sat on a pole!

Plenty of controlled power and a forward, responsive ride. Moves well with a swinging trot and big uphill canter with plenty of gears. Balanced, obedient, forward-thinking and very willing to work. Produces good work on the flat but you have to ride for it, he isn't going to carousel round the outside track with his head in on autopilot. I think that Tigger would rather be doing other things than flatwork schooling but he is always happy to play along and it is an area that he could improve on if someone wanted to.

Loves to jump and is very good to a fence. Rideable, obedient and bold, takes you in nicely and tries very hard to get it right and keep them up. Tigger isn't the bravest with ditches so didn't make it as an eventer but is fine with a lead, making him ideal for pair hunter trials and team chasing.

Bold and mannerly out hunting. Isn't a fan of standing around resting a leg but given a bit of space he will happily mooch around quietly until everyone is ready to go again.

Great to hack and is enormous fun, even when just stomping round the roads. Unphased by all traffic and really marches out. Has mostly hacked in company but will stomp out on his own with a forward thinking rider, otherwise he can be a bit backwards to start.

Happier on a livery yard as opposed to a private home set-up and likes routine. Well travelled, he is excellent to load and travel in both a lorry and a trailer. No quirks or vices. He would be a lot of horse for a novice or wet blanket so is best suited to a game, active rider looking for good reliable fun with a very able and willing playmate!

Tigger is available at a reduced price due to failing a recent vetting on the hard circle. Full investigations were carried out with the cause appearing to be due to having flat feet. He is very happy in his work, otherwise sound and can be improved with good farriery, but he is not likely to pass another vetting.

Very sad sale on behalf of a client. Had a sarcoid lasered off his sheath in summer 2019 with no sign of regrowth. Tack and rugs included. Serious enquiries to please ring only, texts and messages may not be answered. All videos can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page just search the name 'Tigger.'
