17hh 5yo full Irish Draught chestnut gelding Western Blues x Grovesnor Lad.
Incredibly smart, upstanding, eye-catching model of a horse, a proper traditional Irish Draught with plenty of presence, bone and athleticism. Would certainly show. For a big horse he is light on his feet and in the hand, very rideable. Moves well without throwing you about and is a real armchair ride. Plenty of front to make you feel secure but does not ride big, is not wide and is comfortably ridden here by lady jockeys up to 5ft2.
Made for hunting with the ideal temperament for it. Did several days out hunting last season in Ireland. Has not hunted this season due to lockdown but is definitely one to look ahead with to next season. Good in a group, focuses on his job and doesn't get wound up by horses cantering up behind or around him.
Incredibly bold to a fence, doesn't look at a thing. Jumps showjumps and natural fences with good technique. Scopey and careful without sending you into orbit to get the job done! A very comfortable and secure feeling under saddle.
Great to hack, nice and forward and marches out without being strong or silly. Leads or follows, goes on his own or in company. Good in traffic and open spaces.
Forward and responsive, he has real quality to him and is not at all a kickalong type. Would suit a confident and competent rider and is suited to a range of activities.
