Jason
15.1hh 2015 grey gelding. Incredibly sweet and talented young horse with all-round potential. No breeding recorded but very typical of a Connemara x Thoroughbred.
Upstanding, smart, light, athletic model. Quality stamp, well put together with a sweet outlook. Working very well on the flat. Straight and well balanced with 3 active, rhythmical paces including a massive uphill canter. Forward and responsive, good off the aids without being sharp. Lovely mouth, works evenly into a contact and naturally holds himself in an attractive frame. Showing good basic lateral work. Ready to go out and do a correct Prelim test now. He is a sensitive ride who doesn't want to be kicked and pulled. He would like a quiet, sympathetic but not useless rider with good hands. Nicer you ride him the nicer he goes!
Very bold to a fence. His canter is very rideable on the way in and he maintains his balance and rhythm well on the way out. Has schooled up to 1.10m with us at home and he would certainly have the potential to be competitive at this level as his canter strengthens and matures. Not at all strong or silly, currently always in a snaffle. Ready to get out to some shows/clear rounds. Has cross country schooled including ditch, bank water and would be a highly competitive grassroots event prospect. Ready for hunter trials or arena eventing.
Not at all green, he has clearly been nicely started and produced and is exactly where I think he should be in his work. He is a little weak still in his way of going which you can see from the fact that he still needs to finish maturing into his frame. He just needs a bit of time and nice riding and he will organically go from strength to strength. Kind, willing nature and a very trainable attitude but he is a quality young horse so has a bit about him and wouldn't be an idiot's ride. Incredibly sweet and straightforward, would be suitable for a competent child, teen or small adult.
Hacks out alone or in company, really marches on and is very bold. Good in traffic, very sweet and mannerly on the ground. Really wants to be everyone's friend and tries desperately to please.
This guy really is something special and is going to be someone's best friend. Very rewarding young horse with an excellent foundation, ready for a capable rider to build on and have a great deal of fun with.
