17hh 7yo mare Lauriston x Silvio II
Kaida is a real quality model with plenty of ability and a kind sweet nature. Basics established, did plenty out and about as a 5yo but - like many horses! - very little in 2020. As a result she is a bit green and low mileage for her age.
She has the potential to be a classy dressage, event or hunt prospect. Excellent to handle and do on the ground. Always kind. Good to hack, mostly gone in company but has gone on her own. Always in a snaffle. Passed two full 5 stage vettings in 2019 with x-rays and another one in 2020. On her last vetting a heart murmur was picked up after hard exercise. This was not considered to be of great significance and she still passed the vetting. No other significant vet history with full history known from birth.
Started under saddle as a 5yo then spent her first year going out and about most weeks draghunting, hunter trialing, cross country schooling, clear round showjumping, hacking and dressage.
Lovely attitude to her work, very willing and trainable. She has 3 massive paces with a huge walk, good mouth and has started learning basic laterals. Shows great quality over a fence and is jumping round small courses including fillers and trays. Would event or showjump with the right production.
Kaida prefers an assertive and capable rider who can ride forward from the leg to a soft hand. She doesn't like backwards or heavy-handed riders and isn't suitable for a novice due to her big movement.
Kaida is a classy, well bred, talented mare with the basics established and temperament ideal for a competent amateur to produce on. Has greatly benefitted from a winter holiday to mature and has come back into work with a super attitude.
Good to hack, has mostly gone in company but has been out on her own a couple of times. Good in traffic and open spaces, has schooled in open fields. Always in a snaffle.
Serious enquiries to call only. Texts and emails won't be answered. All available video is on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page. Priced to reflect heart murmur and lack of recent experience.
